- Operate four engines, one aerial platform, and one rescue unit from two stations.
- Career firefighters are certified by the International Fire Service Accreditation
Council (IFSAC) to the Firefighter II Level.
- The Lancaster Fire Department is an ISO Class Two department.
- Engines and the aerial platform are capable of 2,000 GPM pumping capacity.
- In-house training is conducted by IFSAC instructors.
- All line officers are nationally certified through IFSAC to the Fire Officer I level.
- Firefighters utilize thermal imagers coupled with command post monitoring for
increased effectiveness and safety while performing rescue and fire fighting
operations.
