| 26 Career and 15 Volunteer personnel responding from two stations. Explorer Post comprised of 15 young adults ranging in age from 14 to 21 years of age. Fire Protection District approximately 6 square miles of civilian and industrial composition. Daytime population protected is approximately 13,000 and night time population (residents) is approximately 8,100. The Lancaster Fire Department has achieved an ISO Class Two rating. Apparatus consists of four Class A pumpers, one 102' aerial platform, one medium duty rescue truck, one brush truck, three specialized response trailers (trench rescue, hazardous materials, and one containing an all-terrain rescue vehicle). Average yearly response of 1,300 calls for service. |
