    are conducted annually..
  •        Residential fire safety inspections are conducted upon request of the
    occupants.
  •        Inspections are conducted by a Fire Official nationally certified as a Fire
    Inspector I, and also certified as a Deputy State Fire Marshal.
  •        The Lancaster Fire Department Public Education Program reaches
    approximately 3,000 children each year with the message of fire safety.
  •        Freddie the Fire Truck and the "Fire Dog" are known throughout
    Lancaster and Lancaster county.
  •        The Senior Citizens Program teaches fire safety as well as fall prevention
    to our community's elderly.
  •        Numerous other educational programs that reach into churches, civic
    organizations, and schools each year.
  •        The Lancaster Fire Department participates in a smoke detector
    installation program for the residents of Lancaster.
  •        The Lancaster Fire Department also installs fresh batteries in smoke
    detectors, free of charge to qualifying families.
